Working together towards a better environment

Second inspection on the grove yesterday. I am learning so much. It never ceases to amaze me. Francesca, who is the “Technical Expert” assigned to us, is working on a project financed by the European Union to monitor the effects of the climate on different agricultural sectors. We spent hours -I have so many questions which she patiently answered. She told me of the challenges of the battle between getting a good crop and controlling the use of pesticides and fertilisation and I told her about the challenges of logistics and market forces and the difficulty in trying to make a crop commercially viable. We are learning from each other..
