Edible Art

Sometimes all you want is something hearty and tasty to hit the right spot. But when you are an artist, why not make it a feast for the eyes as well.  Here, as simple staple Italian lunch has been turned into a work of art. Wholewheat penne in salsa pomodoro, with chunks of sausage, rocket topped with parmigiana.

Homemade, Healthy and (W)holesome Hummus

When one create masterpieces in the bakery, it is a natural step to make one's own homemade Hummus. Am so impressed by this delicious dip and can only imagine how wonderful it must taste on freshly baked crusty bread!!

A Healthy start to the day..

On the toasted sourdough, I drizzled some extra virgin olive oil from Liz’s olive orchard in Grosseto. I visited her & her orchard one summer and I know you can’t get any more organic evoo than this liquid gold. You can grab a bottle of this evoo from BIG Supermarket at Glo Mall.

Dukkah

Egyptian Dip “Dukkah”
I made "dukkah" (an Egyptian dip made of spices and crushed nuts like almonds & pistachios). First, dipped the bread in the olive oil followed by in the "dukkah" mixture. Awesome.
